Cancellations at Bilton Grange Church

Dear Friends,

Clearly, we are in a rapidly changing and unprecedented scenario with COVID -19. To best serve the needs of the various populations within our church, and with an eye to duty of care for both the spiritual and physical well-being of congregants, Bilton Grange Church will make the following adjustments to its usual church events:

– Morning worship service on Sunday, 22 March, has been cancelled and there will be no more services until further notice.
– all church-sponsored events that take place at the church (inc Lent sessions, Sewcial, Pilots, etc) have been cancelled until further notice.
– all non-church related events will no longer meet until further notice.
Our buildings will not be available to hire until further notice.
– Easter morning breakfast has been cancelled.

God’s blessing on you all, with our prayers for your safety and good health, and if the church can support you in any way, please get in touch.

Sunday Morning Worship Through Daily Devotions

From this Sunday, 22 March, we will be sharing Sunday Worship together through the Daily Devotions.  The service will go out in text and audio format –  rather like a radio service – to everyone who has signed up to receive the devotions. You can sign up via devotions.urc.org.uk

If you send an email to dailydevotions@urc.org.uk with the word CD in the subject line we will, in time for services on and after 29th March, send out the text and audio recording earlier so you can print and/or burn to CD to post out to others who don’t have computers.

Below are the ministers leading the services, starting at 10am:

  • Sunday, 22 March, will be led by the Rev. Michael Hopkins.
  • Sunday, 29th March, will be led by the Rev. Phil Nevard
  • Good Friday, 3rd April, will be led by the Rev. Pauline Calderwood.
  • Palm Sunday, 5th April, will be led by the Rev. Pauline Calderwood.
  • Easter Sunday, 12th April, will be led by the Rev. Dr. John Bradbury.
  • Fleur Houston, Susan Durber, Ruth Browning, Janet Sutton Web, Richard Church, Sarah Moore and Neil Thorogood will also prepare worship for us over the coming weeks.
